Beauty tag time! I thought it would be fun to do one on my blog. It’s been awhile since I last posted. I have a hard time finding the time to actually sit down and write when I’m not busy at work or keeping up with my social life. Hopefully, I can carve out time specifically for my blog and stick to it. Pray for me you guys. Anyways, I decided to do a fun post that will help you beauties get to know me a little bit better! Here’s my answers to 10 of my favorite beauty related questions!

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?

My first makeup item was black pencil eyeliner. I remembered I bought eyeliner for the sole reason of making my eyes look bigger because I was very self-conscious of my small uneven eyes. I first started wearing makeup in high school but during that time, all you needed was black eyeliner and concealer and you’re good to go. Brows and highlighters weren’t even a thing back then LOL. Okay, now I’m feeling old.

2. How many times did you dye your hair?

I lost count LOL. My first hair dye was in high school and I wanted to go red. Mom was not very fond of it but she box dyed it for me anyways #ThanksMom LOL. So far, I dyed my hair light brown, red/burgundy, blonde, dark brown, and rose gold that faded to this hella bright orange color.

3. How would you describe your fashion style?

I feel like my fashion style varies based on seasons and influences. During the spring/summer, I’m more of a Girly California girl with an Urban Outfitters style. I was inspired by the fashion during my Korea trip so when I came back in the Fall, I was really into blouses and turtlenecks. In the winter, I give no fucks LOL. It’s too cold to look cute so I just try to layer up like a marshmallow to stay toasty.

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

Surprise, surprise, I actually don’t care about my nails. I used to do my own nails for fun in high school but when I started working in retail, it went downhill from there. Whenever I worked in the stockroom, I always ruined my nails by opening a bunch of boxes. Since then, I just didn’t care about my nails anymore. I also don’t care for pedis and pray to buddha that no one looks at my toes when I’m wearing sandals.

5. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?

A guilty 1 – 1.5 hours. Maybe 2 hours LOL. It honestly takes so long for me to do because of my brows. I’m pretty sure every girl can relate unless you’re blessed with beautiful brows. Yah girl has sparse and a non-existent shape. It just takes me so long to draw them in and make them look like twins. To quote my boyfriend; “Your brows are sisters not twins” – boyfriend #IHateHim #Jk

6. Which brand has the most cutest packaging?

I think any Korean cosmetic brand has the most cutest packing. Koreans are known to be very aesthetic so it’s no surprise that their makeup looks so cute. My favorite would have to be Etude House because they’re just so creative with their packaging whenever they have collaborations.

7. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?

I won’t necessarily say that I collect makeup, but I do have a lot of makeup. When I was complete total noob, I wanted to experiment with everything. I wanted to try out a lot of products and just kept buying until I found the best one that I like to use. I may have bought some products just because of the cute packaging #NoShame. As of right now, I just buy what I need.

8. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

I wear falsies everyday. I just like the way it enhances my eyes by giving it a little oompfth. I like to wear lashes from House of Lashes from the Lite Collection in the styles, Natalia, Boudoir, and Iconic. For higher end lashes, I like to wear the style NO.4 from Blinking Beaute.

9. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?

I used to do a full face of makeup everyday. I would wear a full face of makeup to work and school. I know, hella extra but it made me feel good and that’s all it matters. These days, I wanted to embrace a toned down minimal makeup look so I’ve been cutting down on some steps. I no longer use eyeshadow on my lids. I just use the same champagne shade to pop into the inner corners to make myself look more awake but that’s it. I also cut off bronzer because I personally don’t see it as a necessity anymore. But other than that, I use everything else LOL. I’m quite proud of myself for cutting off 2 steps. I’m trying to embrace my natural self more but slowly at my own pace.

10. What do you love about makeup?

I love how makeup can create so many versatile looks. You can look innocent one day and a badass the next day. It’s fun to play around and experiment with. Makeup helps me feel beautiful and good about myself. It gives me that extra boost of confidence that I struggle with from time to time. I’m not saying you have to wear makeup to feel pretty because that’s definitely not true at all. But if makeup makes you feel good, you do you girl!
