Hello Beauts! I’m really loving this month’s BoxyCharm box!
For those of you who don’t what BoxyCharm is, it’s a monthly subscription where you get four to five full-sized products for $21 a month! Each box is valued over $100+ with free shipping. Each month, BoxyCharm chooses a fun theme and the products that will go well with it.
I think it’s a pretty good deal to experience trying out new makeup without breaking your bank. This month’s theme is called Gold Digger and I already fell in love with the packaging.
ACE BEAUTE – GRANDOISE PALETTE ($24.99)
Can we just take a moment and admire the beautiful packing? I’m loving the intricate gold pattern reflecting off the matte black cover. The eye-shadow colors gives me fall vibes. This is a definitely a warm tone palette where you get 8 beautiful shades of 4 shimmers and 4 mattes. The very pigmented matte shades blends easily well together. The shimmers will give your eye look a pop of sparkle. My favorite shade to use is Jasmine to brighten up my inner corners. This palette can create versatile looks from natural to bold.
COVERFX – GLITTER DROPS ($44.00)
I wasn’t sure what this product was when I first saw it. Apparently this product can be used alone, under or over makeup, mixed with foundation or moisturizer. Personally, I don’t like the idea of mixing glitter with my foundation and moisturizer so I decided to use it as a highlighter instead. Honestly, it looks like nail polish to me but the gold sparkly liquid was pretty to look at. Not to mention, it fits perfectly with the Gold Digger theme. When applied, the pigmented color disappears but the sparkles still remain. It just looks like I have glitter on my face. This would have to be my least favorite product in the box.
LUXIE – LUMINOUS EYE SET ($30.00)
Ugh, again these brushes are beautiful. I was excited to see luxie brushes in my box since I already owned a set! It comes with 4 eye brushes and the handles are extra gold and sparkly. The best part is that the glitter doesn’t transfer all over you! The bristles are soft and it’s really easy to use! I just love how extra looking these brushes are!
Farah – Galaxy Gold Tweezers ($12.00)
This is probably the most beautiful and expensive pair of tweezers I ever own. These dual ended tweezers have gold splashes of galaxy everywhere on the black exterior. One end is pointy and sharp, the other end is more angled. The pointy side was difficult to use and took much effort to pluck off my brow hairs compared the other end which was more easier.
BODYOGRAPHY – MAKEUP BRUSH CLEANER ($12.00)
I never used a spray bottle when cleaning my makeup brushes so this will be the first. This spray claims that it will disinfect and condition your brushes easily. I thought it was interesting that one of the ingredients contains natural orange peel. It definitely did smell like oranges but not overpowering. The spray is okay but it needs a couple of spritz to really cleanse my makeup brushes.
